SGPC celebrates birth anniversary of Bhagat Dhanna Ji at Gurdwara Sri Manji Sahib

Amritsar, April 20: Shiromani Gurdwara Parbandhak Committee (SGPC) on Tuesday celebrated the birth anniversary of Bhagat Dhanna Ji with devotion at Gurdwara Sri Manji Sahib Diwan Hall of Sachkhand Sri Harmandar Sahib, Sri Darbar Sahib, Amritsar. In this regard, after the bhog (culmination) of Sri Akhand Path Sahib, hazuri raagi jatha of Bhai Shubhdeep Singh of Sachkhand Sri Harmandar Sahib, performed Gurbani Kirtan and Bhai Gurcharan Singh offered prayers. On this occasion, kathawachak of Gurdwara Sri Manji Sahib, Bhai Harmitar Singh while sharing his views with the sangat said that the life of Bhagat Dhanna Ji is indicator of the Lord’s trust. He said that the holy writings (baani) of Bhagat Dhanna Ji adorned in Guru Granth Sahib give guidance to human beings to live a pure life. Bhagat Dhanna Ji's life is a guide for inspiring devotion to the Lord. Bhai Harmitar Singh congratulated the sangat from home and abroad on the occasion of Bhagat Dhanna Ji's birth anniversary and encouraged the sangat to live according to the ideology of Gurbani. On this occasion member of SGPC’s Dharam Prachar Committee (DPC) Bhai Ajaib Singh Abhayasi, secretary S. Mahinder Singh Ahli, additional secretary S. Sukhdev Singh Bhurakohna, assistant secretary Kulwinder Singh Ramdas, manager of Sri Darbar Sahib S. Gurinder Singh Mathrewal, assistant secretary Harjinder Singh, S. Sukhbir Singh, manager Baghel Singh, S. Satnam Singh Mangasarai, additional manager Darshan Singh, superintendent DPC S. Palwinder Singh, in-charge Manjit Singh, treasurer Mukhtar Singh Koharka and sangat were present.
